| Ore-Cal RC&Ds mission to encourage diversity and community prosperity through conservation, promotion and development of the continued and sustainable wise use of natural resources is realized through a forty-two (49) member partnership. Serving Klamath and Lake Counties in Oregon, Siskiyou and northwest Modoc and western Shasta Counties in California, Ore-Cal RC&D covers 15.5 million acres and assist 265,000 people. Located in Northern California and Southern Oregon, between the Pacific Coastal Range, the southern end of the Cascade Range and the northern range of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the communities of Ore-Cal RC&D live in the shadow of mystical mount Shasta. Authorized in 1993, Ore-Cal RC&D was organized to help communities compete and succeed during a transition from timber dependence and unemployment. Focus areas in water quality, forest health, community capacity, and community infrastructure have promoted many projects and partnerships. Ore-Cal RC&D's motto of "Strength Through Partnerships" is realized every day and in every project. Contact Ore-Cal RC&D through our web page at: http://www.OreCalRCandD.org or through email at: .
